Jojo’s current practice explores representations of real and fictional female protagonists across a range of media including film, collage, sculpture, painting, printmaking and audio.

Her visual art is influenced by where the past and the present meet and overlap.

In her film work she often uses the structure of movie trailers or advertisements as starting point to present non-linear narratives.

Jojo is particularly interested in the ability of sound and music to manipulate mood, and often employs this device to represent and play with her female characters and the stories in which they inhabit.
